Everytime you see Britney Spears, you can be sure trouble is bound to follow. This time was no different, as according to reports, Brit totally trashed a rented mansion! Like, totally!

According to sources, the troubled 26-year-old pop star rented a mansion in Malibu starting in September 2007 for $35,000 a month, and although she didn’t live in it she still left a tonne of damages. The mansion owner said the marble floors were scratched, countertops in the kitchen were damaged, and pretty much all the furniture was ruined, but what’s worse is that she left cigarettes, wine bottles and even dog poo (eww!) scattered around the house.

That Brit! She definitely knows how to ruin stuff! According to an insider, Brit only used the mansion as a party house and after she was hospitalised in January, she didn’t return. The rent is paid until March and she’s now waiting to hear how much she owes for the damages. Must be a lot, we guess!

The insider said: “The house was left a wreck. Cigarette burns and cigarette butts were everywhere and empty bottles of wine were strewed about the place. Most of the furniture was ruined with stains, tears or nicks. Other items, like an expensive vase in the kitchen and patio furniture were broken. The granite kitchen countertops were damaged as well."

And that, according to the source, was the least of the nightmare!

The source added: "Rotting food was left in the refrigerator. Spilled wine soiled the carpets and floors. The outside landscaping wasn’t kept up, either, and the pool turned green from lack of attention. No one picked up after Britney’s dogs, and many ‘presents’ of dog poop were left behind for the owners."

Well, on a lighter note, the mansion owner is lucky that Brit did not burn the entire mansion down during one of her booze-filled outings. But judging by the state the mansion is in right now, the owner would probably wished Brit did.
