Country crooner Carrie Underwood’s schedule will be getting a lot tighter this weekend. This multiple Grammy award winning artist will be performing the national anthem in Miami this Sunday for Super Bowl. Right after that, she will jet set to Oahu for her very first feature film.
The film revolves around the awe-inspiring story of Bethany Hamilton, a teen surfing sensation whose left arm was ravaged by a tiger shark back in October 2003. Carrie will be playing the role of Sarah Hill, a youth counsellor at Bethany’s church.
The movie, entitled Soul Surfer will include stars like Dennis Quiad, Helen Hunt and Anna Sophia Robb and is set to be released late this summer.
As far as Carries performance at the Super Bowl, the 26-year-old has some qualms about her time in the spotlight: "My biggest fear is the words. Of course you know the words. But if you're going to mess up, that'd be the time, right?"
