Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace
Director: Guy Ritchie
What it’s about: Sherlock Holmes is usually one step ahead of his target…until now. There’s a new criminal mastermind hungry for wealth and life-altering power, so it’s up to Sherlock and his trusty sidekick, Dr. Watson, to stop the cunning adversary.
Why it’s hot: We love the storyline, special effects, vintage costumes and set designs. But our favourite – and probably most important – factor of the franchise is the on-screen chemistry between Robert and Jude. Their bromance makes this a fun and hilarious watch, despite the dark and mysterious tone of the film.
Why it’s not: There should be a rule as to how many times a director can use the slow motion effect in a movie. Guy Ritchie totally overdid it in this one.
Verdict: It’s a rare occasion for a sequel to succeed its predecessor and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is one of the very few. We can’t help but think about what the third film is going to be like…

Robert Downey Jr. is a steez machine! I wish polpee dressed like that nowadays. Gentlemen galore. “Robert my little gentlemen, I will take you to foggy London town.” (Anchorman)
